These conditions govern access to Cedar County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or using a search feature indicates agreement. Anyone who does not accept the terms should discontinue use.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. It is a public-record reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no connection to a public office. It does not store or issue official criminal records, perform official checks, or file documents.

Its content identifies Cedar County custodians, including the Sheriff, courts, MSHP CJIS repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry, and may connect visitors to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only when a visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Such conduct may also be criminal. Missouri registry information is published for community awareness, not retaliation, vigilantism, blacklisting, or discriminatory treatment of a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Cedar County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and creates no credit report, background report, or other consumer report. Its content and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally required report for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate official channel or an FCRA-compliant provider, not from this website.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations about Cedar County records are not legal advice. A licensed Missouri attorney should address how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a specific person.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided “as is,” without a promise that:

Missouri law governs these terms, including the state’s Sunshine Law where public-record access is discussed and RSMo 43.500 for criminal-history terminology. A dispute concerning site use must be brought in a Missouri court.

Revised terms may be posted at any time and become effective when published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected text will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
